Project 3 will provide a practical component for your thesis or end-of-semester exhibition. The following prompts, organized by affiliation, provide a common structure. I will accept proposals for components that are more practical for your specific project.
Visual communication design
Digital media can facilitate a connection between your audience and your social issue. Your goal is to design a digital component — examples include an interactive kiosk, web-based Flash element, video, or any other appropriate digital component — that connects your audience to your social issue.
InnovationSpace
You will make an interactive kiosk for your end-of-semester exhibition. By documenting your process with sketches, photographs and notes, you will answer two questions. 1 What problem did you solve? 2 How did you solve it? Answering these questions will reassure your client that you have carefully considered the design problem, and presented the best possible solution.
MSD, PhD and others
This project should enhance your personal understanding of your thesis, promote the work you have done, make a connection between your work and your intended audience, or apply the knowledge learned in this class in a new way. Specifics can be presented to the instructor at any point in the semester.
